At IICD, we have realized this need right from the beginning and began offering computer software and hardware training to students with disabilities. This training helps them earn their own bread and butter, and stand tall in life.
Mobile Technician
Mobile has become an integral part of our lives. It is unimaginable to spend a day without a phone in the pocket. Searching for a job to reach a desired location, we do a lot many activities digitally on the phone. In a globally connected world, we feel handicapped without access to the internet and smartphone.
Hence we find almost every person carrying a phone. This leads to an ever increasing phone market and mobile repair shops. Considering the market potential, we train people with disabilities to become mobile technicians so that they earn their living comfortably.
Sewing Course (Tailoring)
A skilled woman is an independent woman. Gaining a skill to earn helps in living a dignified life. When a woman learns any new skill, it helps her earn and live life comfortably.
At IICD, we have a dedicated center to train women sewing or tailoring courses. Our course covers every skill, either minor or major, that helps in making a complete tailor. A great number of women have benefited from our tailoring course over the past many years.
Mahendi Design & Cooking
Hyderabad is a hub of specialized markets and services. Among such services are Mahendi Design and Cooking. Young girls, brides and married women—all love their hands and legs beautified with colorful red mahendi (henna).
A person specialized in making mahendi designs earns during festivals and marriage seasons. Similarly, everyone loves Hyderabad for its food and hospitality. At IICD, we train women in making mahendi designs and cooking skills.
Cooking for Blind
Cooking is an art. It is a skill. Anyone with passion and dedication can learn it. So we have made arrangements for people with visual impairment or blindness to learn the cooking skills.
We have a dedicated kitchen for cooking. You may have tried a good number of dishes prepared by master chefs and mothers. Experience amazing dishes by our trained blind chefs prepare.
