Our Mission
Why IICD
The Ideal Information Centre for Differently-Abled (IICD) was set up in 2007 in India’s digital hub Hyderabad. IICD serves the community of disabled children through educating and training them. Its services range from academic courses to diagnoses, counseling, skills training, moral upbringing, etc. It has specialized departments for the Hearing Impaired, Visually Impaired, and Visually Disability. Over the years, IICD has successfully trained hundreds of its students and placed them in various government and private jobs.
At IICD, we believe that disabled, inclusive of all with hearing, vision loss, and intellectual disabled have the absolute right to achieve their ceiling potential and can do so through augmented freedom, output, and assimilation into society. This will make them enable to lead normal lives with dignity and self-reliance. Being a registered NGO (No. 257/2010), IICD relies on generous contributions of individuals and organizations to carry out its activities for the welfare of the differently-abled community.
IICD provides correct knowledge of Islam to boys and girls. Our pedagogy blends Islamic and modern education—Tawheed, Risalat, Akhirah, Sign Language, Special Training, etc. IICD offers a variety of services and facilities to these students. Goals
- To offer information, referral and sensible assistance on topics related to deaf-blindness.
- To provide complete facilitation of learning with suitable standards of education and training in various fields of knowledge.
- To bestow with information, recommendation and useful support on ethical and moral issues related to deaf-blind, etc.
- To give confidence and provide support services along with resources to craft life happy for learners.
- To endow with ambiance and environment for the academic and intellectual debates, discussions and gatherings on deaf-blind related matters.
- To enhance the quality of interpreting services for deaf-blinds, and increase the number of interpreters qualified to work with them.

In the last one decade, IICD rendered numerous valuable services to the community of persons with special needs. At any time, around hundred disabled-learners actively take training in our campus in Chaderghat, Hyderabad.
Besides alumni comprising multiple batches, many of our trained disabled students from both the genders have successfully started their career and earning in corporate companies, government departments, banks, hotel industry, and ITI sector. We have guided our deaf students to avail the govt. schemes meant for them.
